The Draft Annual Action Plan is based on a 2016-17 HUD Community Development Block Grant award for the City of White Plains of $824,518. To date, HUD has not announced funding allocations for 17-18.  Therefore, this Annual Action Plan used the 16-17 allocation as its base for planning purposes. Final funding decisions are dependent upon additional information to be provided by HUD.  The City of White Plains Draft 2017-18 Annual Action Plan grant amount and programs are subject to the official notice of the amount of funds allocated by HUD for 2017-18.

Funds are allocated for Administration and Planning, Home Rehabilitation, Code Enforcement, Parks, Business Assistance, and Public Services. Proposed funding for Public Service programs include homeless services, services for the elderly and disabled, housing counseling, meals and food for low income households, youth services including program scholarships, and community centers. A minimum of 70 percent of all funds allocated in the Draft 2017-18 Annual Action Plan directly benefit the low and moderate income population of White Plains. The Proposed 2017-18 Annual Action Plan allocations implement the multiple strategies identified in the 2015-19 Consolidated Plan.
