Use of Gasoline Powered Blowers for Property Clean-Up & Maintenance

The City of White Plains leaf blower ordinance is geared toward reducing loud, unnecessary and unwanted noise in our neighborhoods.

The use of gasoline-powered blowers is allowed only during the Spring and Fall clean-up periods (March 15 - May 15 and October 1 - December 15).

Gasoline-powered blowers may be used during the clean-up periods only during the following times (M-F: 8 am - 6 pm, Sa, Su, legal holidays: 10 am - 6 pm).

The White Plains Police Dept is responsible for enforcement. Violations should be reported to the Dept of Public Safety at (914) 422-6111.
