The White Plains Take It or Leave It Shed (TILI) Needs Volunteers!

February 21, 2011
The Take It or Leave It shed is a place for White Plains residents to bring their perfectly good, but no longer wanted items instead of throwing them away! And while there, to browse the cast-offs your neighbors left to find something you’ve always wanted (or didn’t know you wanted until you saw it!).

The TILI is a collaborative project between the City of White Plains and EcoNeighbors that got off to a great start last year. In the spirit of cooperation, the City of White Plains provides the venue and EcoNeighbors organizes the volunteers to operate the facility. Both the City and EcoNeighbors are looking forward to an equally successful 2012 and that means ensuring that there are sufficient volunteers to staff the TILI during its hours of operation.

Last year, the TILI shed quickly became a lively meeting place for residents of White Plains – not just engaging in environmental volunteerism, but having fun too! If you’re interested in being a part of this great community partnership, please sign up using the link below.

The TILI Shed is located at the City’s Gedney Recycling Yard, at 87 Gedney Way, and is open from April through October.
